Founder of MDi.  President in charge of project quality control, client relations, financial planning and corporate planning.  Mr. Freese has actively worked in the Mechanical/Plumbing Engineering consulting field since 1976.  His experience includes the mechanical design of commercial, retail, healthcare, manufacturing facilities, residential, high-tech manufacturing, and institutional.  

Vice President

With 43 years in the industry, Scott brings unparalleled expertise in mechanical design.  He has served as lead engineer on thousands of projects both regionally and nationally across the commercial and residential sectors.  In addition to his engineering responsibilities, Mr. Carlson specializes in project management, peer review of design work performed by other engineers/designers, and coordinating with architects, owners, developers, city officials and other consultants. 

Vice President

With 30 years of experience at MDi, Justin leads daily business operations and management of MDi.  He specializes in cost-efficient mechanical and plumbing design and has strong, working relationships with most architectural firms in Arizona.  He also directs all training efforts and specializes in peer-review, project cost analysis, and budgeting.  He oversees all project management and coordinates with architects, owners, developers, city officials, and other consultants.  Mr. Grimmett is also responsible for contract negotiations.

Over the past 20 years with MDi, Matt has a breadth and depth of knowledge of our industry, but also a unique and innovative perspective to mechanical and plumbing design.  He works with clients to develop solutions for highly complex projects.  He brings deep expertise in multi-story hospitality and office facilities as well as manufacturing and medical applications.
